Safety Tips

Everything you need to know for a safe and effective tanning experience. Get the most out of your sessions with our expert tips.

UV Tanning Tips

1

Remove All Makeup & Lotions

Before your session, remove all makeup, sunscreen, perfumes, and lotions. These can create barriers and affect your tan.

2

Protect Sensitive Areas

Use protective eyewear (provided) and consider applying SPF to sensitive areas like lips, nipples, and any moles that could be affected.

3

Start Slow

Begin with shorter sessions (5-10 minutes) and gradually increase time as your skin builds tolerance. Never exceed recommended times.

4

Hydrate Your Skin

Moisturize daily, especially after tanning. Well-hydrated skin produces better, longer-lasting color.

Spray Tan Tips

1

Exfoliate Before Your Appointment

Gently exfoliate your skin 24 hours before to remove dead skin cells. This creates an even canvas for the spray tan.

2

Skip the Deodorant & Moisturizer

On the day of your appointment, don't apply deodorant, moisturizer, or makeup. These create barriers that can cause uneven results.

3

Wear Loose, Dark Clothing

After your session, wear loose-fitting, dark clothing to avoid rubbing off the solution. Avoid sweating and swimming for 8-12 hours.

4

Moisturize After First Shower

When you shower (after the recommended time), use gentle, sulfate-free products and moisturize daily to extend your tan.

Safety Guidelines

Your safety is our priority. Please follow these guidelines for a healthy tanning experience.

Wait 24 Hours

Allow at least 24 hours between UV tanning sessions to give your skin time to rest and produce melanin.

Always Wear Eye Protection

UV rays can damage your eyes. Always use the protective eyewear provided during your session.

Know Your Medications

Some medications increase sun sensitivity. Consult with your doctor or our staff if you're taking any new medications.

Not For Everyone

UV tanning is not recommended if you have a history of skin cancer, are highly prone to burning, or have certain skin conditions.

Skip When Burning

If your skin is already sunburned or damaged, skip your session until it's fully healed.

Annual Skin Checks

We recommend annual skin exams with a dermatologist, especially if you tan regularly.
